With nearly 500 delegates, including over 100 speakers, taking part in more than 60 sessions across three days, Digital Signage Summit Europe 2025 was the most successful edition to date.

The change to a three-day format meant that a day could be devoted to the new Digital Signage Tech Forum. Sessions here included an exploration of Samsung’s VXT platform model and a panel discussion on the pros and cons of cloud, on-premise and hybrid provision of digital signage.

The extended duration of the Summit also lent itself to even more networking opportunities, with two evening networking events, networking breakfasts, and matchmaking facilitated through the new DSS Europe app.

At the heart of Day 2 was the invidis Market Keynote, which lived up to its billing as a rollercoaster ride though the signage market. The keynote also served as an introduction to several sessions on the Summit’s flagship topic, Managed Signage. But this was only one of five Keynotes, which covered topics including cybersecurity and hacking, innovation, and AI.

One of the hottest technology topics in digital signage currently is ePaper – and an expert ePaper panel discussed the evolution of the technology and its likely applications. EPaper’s main attraction is its very low energy consumption; while Green Signage was not a major theme this year, the Green Signage Hall of Fame highlighted exemplary products and a Green Signage Workshop provided regulatory updates and offered advice on starting the sustainability journey.

Much of Day 3 was devoted to discussions about the role of AI in digital signage. Complementing these, the AI Playground was a curated showcase of applications of AI that are in action right now – helping to spark the imaginations of DSS Europe delegates.

Delegates also received a copy of the latest invidis Yearbook, which was launched at the event. At 196 pages and available in English and German, the Yearbook is packed with insights and analysis that make it the ‘bible’ of the digital signage industry. And the invidis Strategy Awards saluted eight companies that are transforming different areas of the industry.

There was also a Special Recognition Award for Dave Haynes, who is retiring from the Sixteen:Nine blog after nearly 20 years. Sixteen:Nine has now been passed to invidis.
