AI agents do more than just create new tools – they also build a digital workforce. They have the potential to bring self-healing networks and mind-boggling digital signage applications to life,

Agentic AI is the next big step after chatbots. Instead of just responding to questions, it can take care of complex tasks all on its own, without the need for human intervention. These AI agents can gather information, set up processes, and execute them, making them feel more like a team member than just a tool.
Microsoft's Copilot is an early example of this approach. It drafts emails and slides directly into Outlook and Powerpoint. Salesforce has taken it even further with the introduction of “Agentforce,” a suite of autonomous AI agents that can handle tasks in customer service, sales, and marketing. Salesforce aims to deploy one million of these agents by the end of 2025, which could create a massive boost to productivity across the corporate world.
There are also early examples of multi-level AI being used in the digital signage sector. An example can be found in Singapore's public transport system. At some stations, a digital concierge named Aiva (AI Virtual Assistant) helps passengers plan their trips. Aiva is powered by a conversational AI platform and can communicate with passengers in several languages through an info display, providing route suggestions or general travel tips. The digital human technology behind Aiva, developed by Hong Kong-based Pantheon Lab, can also connect to third-party platforms and can independently perform tasks like making restaurant reservations.
