About the Speaker/Moderator

Valentin Klaß is a Junior Editor at invidis, covering hardware and software news, coordinating product coverage, and working as desk editor for the German-language editorial output. He joined the team in December 2025.

Before entering the industry, Valentin completed a Master's degree in Sociology at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU), with a focus on social and systems theory. That background informs how he approaches editorial work — with an interest in context, cultural framing, and the structural conditions behind market developments.

Since joining invidis, he has focused on the retail media space, attending sessions on in-store solutions and following how modern digital formats are being applied along the customer journey. He is interested in the question of where digital touchpoints genuinely improve the in-store experience – and what that requires in practice.

Valentin is new to the industry, and approaches it accordingly: with more questions than answers, and an interest in understanding the field from the ground up.

Digital Humans in Digital Signage

Digital humans are moving rapidly from experimental showcases to real‑world interfaces in customer communication, retail, transport, and QSR. Powered by advances in AI, speech synthesis, and real‑time rendering, lifelike avatars are increasingly embedded into digital signage networks – opening up new opportunities for engagement, trust, scalability, and operational reality.

This panel explores where digital humans add genuine value beyond traditional content, and where expectations still exceed today’s technical and economic limits. Industry experts will discuss use cases, integration challenges, content governance, ethical considerations, and the impact on customer experience and operations. From brand storytelling and service automation to multilingual communication and accessibility, the discussion will separate hype from viable deployment models.

The session offers a pragmatic look at how digital signage may evolve from displaying messages to hosting interactive, AI‑driven conversations - and what this means for network owners, integrators, and content strategists alike.
