WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FACTORS SHAPING THE DIGITAL SIGNAGE EVOLUTION?
Digital signage is a well-established sector of the AV industry and a key element of many organisations’ content and communications strategies. But how much further can the sector develop, and what are the different factors shaping its evolution? The ISE 2020 half-day Digital Signage Summit (DSS) ISE will address this by examining the current state of the market and identifying possible trends through recent surveys and research. Under the theme The Future of Digital Signage – Technology, Platforms and Solutions, this year’s DSS ISE will look at the latest technologies and techniques, focusing on content management systems (CMSs) working with digital experience platforms (DXPs).
As digital signage systems becomes ever more connected, greater attention is being paid to the links with companies’ backend systems, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. In turn, this is making the industry look more closely at how to manage multiple APIs.
The chair of DSS 2020 is Florian Rotberg, MD of invidis consulting, who will also take part in the keynote The Year Ahead 2020 – Digital Signage Market Trends and Drivers with his invidis colleague Stefan Schieker and a Fireplace Chat, Refining the Digital Signage Value Chain, with Jon Sidwick, Senior Vice President of Maverick AV Solutions. On top of that, Rotberg will lead a guided tour of digital signage products on the RAI exhibition floor in the afternoon.
The Future of Digital Signage in a Mobile Experience Dominated World will be discussed by a panel comprising Stefan Schieker; Andreas Noack, founder and Chief Executive of Heinekingmedia, developer of the Digital Signage Board for schools; Pontus Meijer, Business Unit Director of signage and digital commercials network group Visual Art; Jason Cremins, CEO of cloud-based software platform developer Signagelive; and Sean Wargo, Senior Director Of Market Intelligence at AVIXA.
Per Mandorf, CEO and President of ZetaDisplay, is to deliver the keynote Digital Signage and Retail Keynote: Strategies for Tomorrow’s Digital Signage Industry, while Christophe Billaud, Managing Director of software company Telelogos, presents The Role of Digital Signage in a DXP (digital experience platform) World. The second panel of the morning is Digital Signage Innovators and Disruptors, with contributions from Kelly Harlin, Analytics Platform Strategist at NEC Display Solutions of America; Kiryl Chykeyuk, founder of 3D advertising company Hypervsn; Mathieu Gerard, Chief Technical Officer and co-founder of indoor mapping developer Mapwize; and Florian Rotberg.
The Digital Signage Summit ISE is on 12 February at Hotel Okura from 08.45 to 13.00.
