DSS 2020 - The Show
As part of Gensler’s Digital Experience Design practice, Michael Schneider focuses on creating immersive and connected experiences through a combination of technology, materials, and storytelling. Before joining Gensler, Michael served as a design and technical lead at ESI Design and developed their Lab practice by integrating R&D and mock-ups into projects. With more than 15 years of experience, Michael has created work for institutions including the American Museum of Natural History, Museum of Contemporary Art – Sydney, and numerous children’s museums. He started his career as a resident researcher and adjunct faculty at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University and has taught at Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts, and New York City College of Technology. A champion of designing spaces that support living culture, Michael has delivered keynotes at major industry conferences, including Digital Signage Expo, Digital Signage Summit, InfoComm, and the Society for Experiential Graphic Design. He has been featured in publications including Architectural Record, Sound and Communications, and World Architects.
