As for many other areas in retail, COVID19 shattered longheld rules and beliefs in retail design. New requirements like entrance control, but also fundamental changes in consumer behavior – from browse to transact – are redefining the rules. As uncertainty remains high, flexibility needs to be built into the design and solutions. Finding the right balance between investment, cost and benefits (ROI) is the new challenge for retail design. We will discuss these challenges and several solutions with a panel of retail design experts.
