Dubai Duty Free is the largest single location retailer in the world with annual revenue of more than 2bn USD. With global air travel suspended, Dubai as a hub airport came to a halt. Recently, the airport reopened and so did the travel retail business. For this reopening, procedures had to be put in place to comply with COVID19 rules and regulations. But what is more, spaces that have been designed for times when more than 200k passengers per day spend time and shop at Dubai Airport had to be redesigned for the new normal.
