The past 24 months have seen a noticeable increase in the integration of LED. Higher resolutions, falling prices and better quality have secured a strong increase in demand for LED video walls. Futuresource presents exclusive insights into the first global LED market survey at DSS Europe.
In recent times, the three leading Chinese LED providers in Europe have received much attention (invidis report). While Leyard took over Eyevis, Absen and Unilumen continue to report project profits. But what role do non-Chinese providers such as Barco, Daktronics, Samsung, LG or NEC play?
Irrespective of the manufacturers, it should be noted that LCD-based video walls are increasingly being replaced by high-resolution LED solutions. For the first time ever, meaningful installations in the high-end conference room environment can be implemented with the latest Fine Pixel Pitch products. LCD video walls are notorious for disturbing the smallest of bezels in PowerPoint and Excel presentations.
Futuresource’s Chris Mcintyre-Brown will present market figures from the new LED study for the first time at DSS Europe 2018. Unfortunately, there have been very little reliable figures on the global LED market to date. Futuresource has recorded sales in China over many months, identifying trends and drivers.
