General Terms and Conditions

General Terms & Conditions (“General Terms”) pertaining to the registration for and participation at Conference.

General
a. The registration on this Website is processed by ISE in conjunction with Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”), as ISE’s Technical Service Provider, Fira de Barcelona, Av. Reina Mª Cristina, s/n, 08004 Barcelona, Spain.
b. The ISE Office is at Gisela-Stein-Straße 6, 81671 München, Germany.

c. Your contract for purchases made through this Website is with ISE and will be in English.
d. You agree that e-mail may be used as a means of communication.
e. No sales contract is concluded between you and ISE unless and until ISE confirms your registration as an exhibitor and/or conference participant. The sales contract will be deemed concluded at the time ISE sends the e-mail to you, whether or not you receive that e-mail.
f. The confirmation e-mail will contain all relevant information regarding your contract.
g. The confirmation e-mail will contain a link to these Terms and Conditions, which may be amended from time to time in accordance with paragraph aa below.
h. You are advised to review the confirmation e-mail for correctness as soon as possible, print it and keep a copy of it.
i. Payments are processed by Stripe internet payments (www.stripe.com), ISE or Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) will not receive any credit card details. Stripe will not pass on your credit or debit card details to any other party.
j. The (personal) data you provided will be processed in an appropriate and careful manner. Processing is done by Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) on behalf of ISE solely for the administrative processing of your participation in the Digital Signage Summit Europe.
k. Film and Photography – Important information for visitors (“You”)
The organiser will be filming and taking photographs on the premises of the Conference for use in connection with publications and marketing information relating to the Conference. Your use of any film material taken on the premises of the Conference requires a film permit, which is to be requested from the Marketing Department.
Your use of any film material may not infringe any Third-party rights in any way. .

Use of personal data
By getting to know a little about you, Integrated Systems Events is able to deliver more relevant content and advertisements, and hence a better service, to you. Integrated Systems Events’ purpose for collecting personal data is to provide you, the user, with the most intuitive Web experience possible. In addition, we provide our advertisers with an efficient means to reach the right audience.
Integrated Systems Events, their advertisers and exhibitors may send you information about our various products and services, or third-party products and services. For such purposes, Integrated Systems Events may use the personal data collected, (your name, postal address, e-mail address). You may unsubscribe from any distribution list via a link in the respective communication at any time. Only Integrated Systems Events (or agents working on behalf of Integrated Systems Events, and subject to data privacy and confidentiality agreements), their advertisers and exhibitors will send you such direct mailings.
If you have agreed in the use of your personal data for marketing purposes by ISE’s shareholders; AVIXA (Fairfax, VA, USA) and CEDIA (St. Neots, Cambs, U.K.), collectively “Shareholders”, the Shareholders and their respective worldwide regional offices may use your personal data (limited to your name, postal address, and e-mail address) to send you information about the Shareholder’s services and products, in particular exhibitions organized by the Shareholders. You can unsubscribe from any distribution list via a link in the respective communication at any time.
k. You represent that all details you provide to ISE for the purpose of ordering services are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the services ordered.
l. If there are any changes to the details supplied by you it is your responsibility to inform ISE as soon as possible.
m. Your statutory rights are not affected (in particular see below as to your rights to rescind the contract), but otherwise all sales are final, are non-refundable, and non-transferable.
n. You may cancel your order within seven days after placing the order unless the Conference will commence fewer than seven days following such date. You may cancel your order by sending the notice of cancellation by e-mail to registration@iseurope.org, or call to +49 89 215 436 852.  Please include your name, address and your registration reference code.
o. A full refund will be issued for registration cancellations if such cancellation, including the badge (if applicable) is post-marked by June 1 of the relevant Conference year, at the latest. No refunds will be made for any cancellations posted after June 1st.
p. Once ISE receives notification from you that you wish to rescind  the contract (in accordance with these terms), the relating amount as stated above, will be credited to the credit card account that was used for the purchase as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days after receipt of your cancellation notification as set forth  in paragraph o.

Liability
q. ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) do not exclude or limit any liability for (a) personal injury (including sickness and death) where such injury results from ISE’s or Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”)  gross negligence or willful misconduct, or that of ISE’s or Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) employees, agents or subcontractors or (b) fraudulent misrepresentation.
r. ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) do not accept any other liability for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed services.
s. ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) will endeavor to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after having been notified.
t. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) are providing this Website and its contents, as well as the Conference, on an “as is” basis and makes no (and expressly disclaims all) representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to this Website or the information content in this site and the Conference, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) do not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this Website is accurate, complete or current.
u. ISE and Fira Internacional de Barcelona (“Fira de Barcelona”) do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of the ISE Website or for any services purchased from ISE.

Processing of orders
v. Credit and Debit card accounts will be debited before your confirmation email and voucher is sent. All prices include sales taxes unless otherwise stated, and no charge is made for mailing.
w. Every purchase you make shall be deemed performed in Munich, Germany. German law shall govern every aspect of sales contacts concluded via the Website.
x. You may collect your badge on site using your registration confirmation with barcode and reference code.

Miscellaneous
y. It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to place an order. Anyone caught willfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible under law. ISE tracks the electronic ‘fingerprints’ of every order placed on the ISE Website to enable ISE and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on the ISE Website.
z. ISE may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time and post the new version on the Website. When ISE does so, ISE will provide notification on the DSS Website (www.digitalsignagesummit.org). All purchases from the date that the amended terms are posted on the DSS Website onwards will be governed by those new terms.
aa. These Terms and Conditions shall apply when ISE accepts your order by e-mail. They shall supersede any and all other conditions, understandings, commitments, agreements or representations (except fraudulent misrepresentations) relating to your purchase, whether oral or in writing, and contain the entire agreement between ISE and you relating to your purchase. ISE advises that you print these Terms and Conditions and keep safe a copy once your order has been accepted by ISE.
bb. You are advised to read (and are responsible for reading) all information on this Website.
cc. If any of these terms are held to be invalid or unenforceable, those terms will be void and the other terms will remain in effect. The parties shall replace any voided terms with valid provisions as close as possible in intent to the voided terms.
dd. These Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws and exclusive jurisdiction of Munich, Germany.
cc.Due to the business nature and congestion at ISE, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend the Digital Signage Summit Europe.  Children ages 16 to 18 may attend the Conference provided that they register, pay corresponding fees and are accompanied by a paying adult.

Data Protection Information:
For the upcoming Digital Signage Summit Europe we will be using the conference and networking app “Whova” (https://whova.com/). Whova will provide attendees with the full summit programme, speaker information, a personal agenda, a networking tool and lots of additional information about Digital Signage Summit Europe. Your personal data will only be accessible in the app and seen only by registered attendees. Please confirm that you are in agreement to be added to the Digital Signage Summit Europe Whova Group.
