When you walk into a building lobby, office, or store that’s filled with static imagery, it often feels passive and indifferent. We live in a world where we expect well-designed spaces to offer dynamic, relevant and delighting experiences.

Think motion-activated media walls, slices of digital windows revealing unexpected views of the city around you, beautiful undulating architectural lighting that changes with the direction of the sun and speed of the wind, and other innovations customised for the specific experience of architectural space.

During ‘Transforming buildings into experiences and elevating our common spaces’ at DSS Europe, Michael Schneider – ESI Design’s Senior Designer and AV Technologist – will draw on his technical and creative expertise to explore how to navigate both architecture and content when designing for this world of non-traditional media canvases.

Schneider will examine recent projects that have captured the public’s attention and imagination – from Washington DC’s Terrell Place, to eBay’s Silicon Valley campus – and reveal how non-traditional digital displays are reshaping the future of interior spaces and design.

Michael Schneider is a Senior Designer and AV Technologist at ESI Design. He brings a strategic approach to the creative implementation of interactive AV technologies for a wide range of client projects.
